From the Youth Pastor

We are so glad that you have taken the time to visit the website of our church, and specifically the youth page! Teenager, please know that you are welcome to come to every teen event of our church, and if you ever need a ride, just let me know.

Our youth group exists to reach the teenagers of the Williamsport area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We take teenagers right where they are at, but we don’t leave them there! Jesus has the power to save any teenager – including you – and He also has the power to change that person’s life. We want teens to know the saving and life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Our youth group meets several times throughout the week. We meet for teen Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. We study various parts of God’s Word and always find that God has something helpful and relavant to teen life in His Word.

Our Wednesday night program includes a teen time of prayer, Bible study, singing, and sometimes even a short game. Wednesday nights are one of my favorite times of the week with our teens!

We have youth activities almost every weekend. Some of these times will be well-planned, highly structured events (like scavenger hunts, outdoor excursions, and themed competitions); while others are more relaxed times (like going to high school sporting events or having a campfire).

Another thing we provide to help our teenagers grow in their relationship with Christ is a day-by-day devotional. This resource gives a Scripture passage with questions to help each teen understand what God’s Word says and how it can help in his own personal life. Devotionals also include prayer journals and verse memory sections.

Our youth group is made up of home-schooled, Christian-schooled, and public-schooled kids from six out of nine of the area junior and senior high schools. Our young people are involved in various sports and extra-curricular activates. Many of them are involved in different ministries within our church such as choir and orchestra, children’s ministries, ushering, and outreach.

After viewing our youth page, if you have any questions, feel free to drop me an e-mail.  My wife and family are eager to meet you and help you all we can.
